Cool iPhone Apps for Sales Techies

Did you ever had to shave your face with the hotel soap because you forgot to bring your shaving cream? I hope you didn’t have that silly experience (and if you are a lady I hope you never had to shave your face in any case).

Another and also very common silly experience is to realize that you don’t have your business cards with you while your customer hands out his card.

If you have to travel a lot, it is very likely that you had some of those “oh no, I forgot my …” moments. And mostly, as in my case, you realize that you forgot them when you just need them.

So as I was playing with my iPhone at the Skopje Airport after the announcement of a 45 mins delay, it made me more than happy to realize that Kayak’s travel app has that “Packing List” function (Otherwise, I was strongly considering to write my first iPhone app just for that). It’s a checkable list with some predefined items where you can also add more items. It is also possible to have multiple links for Business, Holiday & Family travels.

Another app i like is the XE’s currency converter. XE is the AccuWeather of currency converters where AccuWeather is the XE of weather apps. On this app you define as many different currencies you want, which are listed on one screen. As you enter a value for any currency on the list, equivalent values for other currencies are listed immediately. It is a cool app for people like me who are poor with mental calculations.

Another interesting app, sometimes a life saver, is kkFiles. It turns your iPhone into a Wi-Fi accessible storage. It provides a web application where you can reach with a browser and upload/download files. Unfortunately it’s not possible to reach directly to photos/music on your phone and there’s no way to transfer them to kkFiles’ repository. Anyway, still a good app when you need to transfer files from one computer to another.
